Know Your Deans
Prof. Benjamin Nyarko
Dean - Faculty of Engineering
Prof. Nyarko holds a BSc. (Hon) Degree in Physics from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (Kumasi), M.Phil degree from the University of Ghana, and a Ph.D in Physics from the University of Cape Coast/Dalhousie University (Halifax, Canada). He has held various positions at the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission, including Director-General. He also served as the National Liaison Officer for Ghana to the International Atomic Energy Agency and an Alternate Governor for Ghana to the IAEA Board of Governors. Additionally, he is a Council Member of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research.
Dr. Navel Kishore Sharma
Acting Dean - Faculty of Computational Sciences & Informatics
Dr. Navel Kishore Sharma is an academic and expert in the renewable energy sector. He holds a PhD in Machine Learning from Calorx Teachers' University, India. Dr. Navel possesses almost three decades of professional expertise in software development and teaching in universities in India, the Middle East and West Africa. He has been trained at the U.S.-India bilateral Partnership to Advance Clean Energy-Deployment Technical Assistance (PACE-D) Programme, the National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE), the National Power Training Institute (NPTI), the National Institute of Renewable Energy, and the Khadi and Village Industries Commission under the Ministry of MSME, Government of India. He has extensive Feasibility Report and Detailed Project Report consulting experience. He is a designated member of the International Advisory Board for Amity University, India.
Prof. Enoch Opoku Antwi
Dean - Faculty of Business & Communication Arts
Prof. Enoch Opoku Antwi is an award-winning leadership and management professor with 22 years of experience, mostly in the US. Prof. Opoku Antwi has a Ph.D. in Organisational Leadership (Business Track) from Indiana Wesleyan University, USA, an MSc from Mount St. Joseph University, USA, and a B.Ed. in Psychology (Hons.) with a double major in Guidance & Counselling and Accounting from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana.

Our Trademark Courses
Fundamentals of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (FIE):
All freshmen undertake this course which involves the application of the fundamentals of problem analysis and solution synthesis to design solutions for real-life problems. FIE not only pushes students to consider scenarios outside the norm but also puts them in the driver's seat of the world of work, where they must collaborate and challenge each other to take on and find solutions to complex communal problems.
Text and Meaning
Text and Meaning provides a critical complement to Critical Thinking and encourages students to develop a world from an individual interpretation of complexity. The course helps students to develop strong analytical skills on deconstructing text and divergently interpreting it and to develop the ability to appreciate the world of text.
Technology and Society
During this cross-disciplinary academic journey, ACitizens are challenged to creatively investigate, collaborate and innovatively utilize scientific knowledge and technology, in solving societal challenges. Students are brought into direct contact with people of diverse and distinct cultures, economies and philosophies they are likely to meet during their professional careers.
Programming
Creating eco-friendly solutions to society's challenges in this new global age largely depends on having sufficient knowledge of computers and the internet.
To ensure ACitizens keep up with the new know-how, the programming course focuses on developing students' understanding and appreciation of computer networks, algorithms, database systems, web design and operating systems.
Becoming familiar with programming languages such as Python is a core takeaway for students after completing this course.
Leadership Series
Resolved to graduate pacesetters, this groundbreaking zestful program taps into the expertise of renowned and accomplished figures to explore extensively the fundamentals of high-yielding leadership styles, using case studies and team engagements. A successful, informed and visionary leadership student is expected to smoothly apply an authentic leadership style that is identifiable to his or her character, develop the ability to build, lead and cleverly manage a consistent high-performance team.
Doing Business in Africa
Doing Business in Africa is designed to aid students' understanding of the business environment - macro and micro – of developing economies in the African region for students and entrepreneurs looking to do business. The course is an insight into the current opportunities and challenges of the African continent with its complex, economic, socio-cultural and political drivers for business.

The ACity Registry team acts as the custodian of students records, enforces policies to ensure the university is meeting its regulatory requirements and offers services such as:
