Dr Yiporo Danyuo

Dr Yiporo Danyuo is a senior lecturer in Academic City University’s Department of Mechanical, Industrial & Systems Engineering. His expertise spans materials science, biomaterials, implantable drug-delivery systems, composite materials, water filtration and AI in healthcare. His work connects advanced materials with biomedical innovation, local manufacturing, and appropriate technologies for African contexts. He teaches materials science, manufacturing processes, composite materials, biomaterials, mechanics of materials, and rehabilitation engineering, helping students apply theory to practical and professional contexts. He holds a PhD and an MSc in Materials Science and Engineering from the African University of Science and Technology, a certificate in business and innovation, and a BSc in Applied Physics from the University for Development Studies.
