Ellen Akongwin Abanga

Ellen Akongwin Abanga is an assistant lecturer in Academic City University’s Department of Computational Science. Her expertise spans management information systems, digital forensics, cybersecurity, and alternative dispute resolution. Her work connects technology governance and security with organisational systems, legal awareness and constructive approaches to dispute management. She teaches Internet of Things, data analysis with Excel, computer architecture, operating systems, ethical and legal issues in computing, and cybersecurity, helping students apply theory to practical and professional contexts. She holds an MPhil in Management Information Systems from the University of Ghana Business School, an MSc in Digital Forensics and Cybersecurity from GIMPA, and a professional executive master’s qualification in alternative dispute resolution. She is pursuing a PhD. She is a member of the Ghana National Association of Alternative Dispute Resolution Practitioners. She contributes to experiential, context-responsive education and interdisciplinary collaboration at Academic City.
