Dr Muhammed Siraj
August 17, 2026 2026-08-17 13:12Dr Muhammed Siraj is a senior lecturer in Academic City University’s Department of Informatics. His expertise spans cybersecurity, digital forensics, incident response, malware analysis, cryptography, data protection and cybersecurity governance. His work connects technical security practice with regulation, privacy, human factors and professional capacity building. He teaches cybersecurity, cryptography and network security, digital forensics, blockchain and cryptocurrencies, data communication and criminological theories, helping students apply theory to practical and professional contexts. He holds a PhD in Security in Computing from Universiti Putra Malaysia, an MSc in Information and Communication Technology from Aalborg University, and a BA in Economics and Psychology from the University of Ghana. He is a licensed independent assessor with Ghana’s Cyber Security Authority and holds leadership roles in national cybersecurity and privacy professional bodies. He contributes to experiential, context-responsive education and interdisciplinary collaboration at Academic City.
